Darkness Pass – A Piano Solo Album

In 1994, at the end of the Outernational Meltdown recordings only Moses and I remained at the studios as dawn slowly approached. Moses took to one of the pianos, while I settled nearby on the floor. This moment marked my first experience of hearing him play solo piano, a session that lasted nearly three hours. That night, he revealed a depth and breadth in his music that was truly mesmerizing. I was convinced of the need to record a Solo Piano album with him. Convincing Moses was challenging at first, as he had just formed a band filled with exceptional young talents and was focused on that. However, by 1998, I managed to persuade him to enter the locked SABC Studios for a secret Darkness Pass Solo Piano project, recorded by Peter Thwaites.
